What is the purpose of an alias?

To be honest, I have not yet tested the new SetLocalUser system function. Am I correct that you describe the function as working when the username is used instead of an alias? If so, I would say you are in luck, at least for now. But since the documentation in the readme says you have to use an alias, I would suggest you do so. Because in the future it might not work the way you did.

However, I cannot answer the main question about the purpose of an alias. The only information I found in various places is to use the alias for the new system function.
