Which virtualization platform

Hello to everybody

I am not really sure this is the best post to pose my question but I see all of you guys are very competent persons in WinCC architectures.

I have a request from a Customer to design / integrate a client-server architecture based on WinCC (7.4?)

server node should be a virtual machine with MS windows server 2012R2

client  node a physical machine with win7 pro (2-3 client are foreseen)

do you have any experience with that?

which virtualization platform do you recommend? I see in kompatool VMware ESXi, do you tested that? what about MS Hyper V?

p.s. Did you ever used WinCC Audit in virtual environment?
