Which Windows ver. are compatible with PCS7 V9.0 SP1? (Single station)

There are 3 versions of MS Windows OS for ES/OS single station: 1. Server 2012 R2, 2016 Standart - too expensive. 2. Windows 7 Ultimate/Enterprise - no longer available. 3. Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB - I can't find it in my country (Russia) What's other versions are compatible with PCS7 V9.0 PS1?

Can I use any version Windows 10 Enterprise (not only 2015 LTSP IoT)? Why not Windows 10 Pro?

Oreca Platinum Expert Joined: 3/14/2008 Last visit: 11/11/2024 Posts: 2126 Rating: (951)	Hi, The Windows 10 LTSB (Long Time Servicing Branch) has the following characteristics - Only necessary security updates are installed - Major Windows updates (like the Fall Creators edition) will not be installed for this version. - Some Windows 10 features are missing like Windows 10 App store So basically Siemens has tested PCS7 with this OS version and it is made sure that Microsoft doesn't corrupt PCS7 installation by commencing updates and such. So, please use LTSB 2015 x64 bit! There are people which have installed PCS7 on Windows 10 Pro, but it is not tested by Siemens. There are also people which got problems when installing Win 10 Pro. It's your own decision, but for a running plant, please use the released version only.
