Hello Tweety, I had already checked the meaning of theses alarmsin a document namedWinCC_Flexible_HMI_system_alarms.pdf that I found on the forum. I'm posting it here for the benefit of others. I found nothing in that document that could explain whythe MP277 lost is connection with the PLC. In my last post, I forgot to mention that the 2008 updated version of my application is working well after an upload in the MP277.It is only after several minutes or when I disconnect the MP277 and reconnect it to the same connectivity box that the communication problems starts. There is a battery in the MP277. When the connection problem appear, I must upload the application again or I must disconnect the battery and restart the MP277. I have made the Update for WinCC flexible 2008 Service Pack 3 and made a new update of my 2005 application to 2008 andthe problem is still there. No I do not have integrated my WinCC Flexible project in Step 7. No I haven't changed anything on the tags or symbolic table on my Step7 project. The Only thing I did was updating my WinCC Flexible application to 2008. thank for you help. Frank AttachmentWinCC_Flexible_HMI_system_alarms.pdf (176 Downloads) |

Hi everyone, Hi havefinally found my problem. I found that in my 2005 project, under Communication --> Connection, the box "only master on the bus" wasn't checked and everything was working well. But, after an unpdate of the project from 2005 to 2008 SP3, this box has to be checked. If not, the communication between the MP277 and the PLCis not workingproperly. Now, is there or should I expect anyproblem having two masters (PLC and MP277) on the same DP bus? Is there different master class like it is suggested in this thread? At this point, I had no problem having these two masters on the same DP bus, butif someone has any information regarding this, please let me know. Thank you! Best regards, Frank |

Hello Frank1701, The HMI is a Class 2 profibus master. See also the answer of Tweety in this thread: /tf/WW/en/Posts/91155#top So this will be no problem. Best regards, Wizard |
