WinCC Proffessional V18 - Screen Navigation

shoaibb95 Regular Member Joined: 6/20/2018 Last visit: 10/28/2024 Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hi, I need to make main screen navigation buttons on the header of mains screens, idea is that based on selection of higher level group (screen), operator can select the lower level group screen etc. I am bad at explaining so I have attached a picture for what I want to achieve. So, my idea is that I will make internal tags of all the possible choices either bool for each button, or an int for each level, and based on that I will use visibility property for lower levels. after that I will make a vbs script? the content will be something like: IF C AND CB AND CBD THEN Open CBD Screen? and to call that script everytime, I will make a tag in PLC as a hearbeat, and I will call my script on value change of that? its still in my head, is it the right approach or there is something easier or better? It depends on how it should look like in Runtime and how the operator worksflow should be.. If the suggestion with the menue/toolbar is not what you are lokking for then please tell us, how it should look like in RT and how the operator should change the screens. Then we can see how to make a good solution (Are you working with WinCC Professional/WinCC V7/8 for the first time?) Bye Murof

shoaibb95 Regular Member Joined: 6/20/2018 Last visit: 10/28/2024 Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hi, its my first time with professional, and I checked out the menus and toolbars options its not what I am looking for, maybe my attachment was not good enough, anyway I am adding attachments once more for my requirement. umm I cant add more then one attachment. i dont know if I am violating the rules, if I am just tell me I will remove the link which contains screenshots of what I want to achieve with video of what I did with some issues. [snip] I did something as I said in my post earlier, it works, but there is a delay in border appearance of the button that was selected, I am not using any script for now, just simple set values in int for each level, and using appearance and visibility properties. Edit: the attachment contain screenshots of what i would like to achieve versus the video of what I have achieved with some problems (namely the delays in appearance i.e. orange border) Attachment Imgur_Files.zip (233 Downloads)

I would work with layers. Create different layers and use scripts to set the different "subdirectories" visible or not. but if you work with only visability this should work also. Its hard to say why this is not working properly in your situation... Bye Murof
