Hi Roby, There is still a WinCC Advanced/Comfort/Basic in TIA Portal V18. But there is no new device version in TIA Portal V18, i.e. you create devices as V17 devices. See also SIMATIC WinCC V18 Release Note. WinCC Unified will be the long-term successor. It uses modern web technologies and will scale from simple PLC internal applications (View of Things) to panel-based visualization to PC applications. Kind regards |

Hi Roby, The new Unified Comfort Panels have already been released in September 2020. The new Unified Comfort Panels Hygienic will be shipped in a few days and the Unified Comfort Pro and Basic variants should follow later this year. The visualization is not created in HTML. It is created in a similar way as before with WinCC, in this case with WinCC Unfied. The system is more open, so it is possible to create your own controls using pure web technology. However, as long as you are satisfied with the existing controls, you do not need to know anything about HTML5. For scripting, however, you should become familiar with JavaScript. Kind regards |
