Wiring of 3-wire RTD with 6ES7531-7KF00-0AB0

Dear Members,

In my project i have to connect the 3-wire RTD sensors with 6ES7531-7KF00-0AB0 8-channel AI module. I have gone through the manual and wiring diagram of the AI module, in that i need some clarification about the wiring in the page no.16 of the manual. It is showing the possibility for connection of 4no.s of RTD instead of 8no.s. Please guide me in this issue.

  wrong! This is for wiring the reference channel for thermocouple measurement. 

This module has only 4 analogue inputs for RTD measurement:

Proberties, page 9

The module has the following technical properties:

● 8 analog inputs

● Voltage measuring type can be set per channel

● Current measuring type can be set per channel

● Measuring type resistance adjustable for channel 0, 2, 4 and 6

● Measuring type resistance thermometers (RTD) adjustable for channel 0, 2, 4 and 6

● Thermocouple (TC) measuring type can be set per channe

● Resolution 16 bits including sign

● Configurable diagnostics (per channel)

● Hardware interrupt on limit violation can be set per channel (two low and two high limits per channel)

page 16 is correct.

 Hello,

In page 16 of link provided, you will found the schematic drawing of PT100 sensors (This module is 8 AI) in 4-groups. If you confugure any group for PT100, Only 1 PT-100 can be connected to this group.

i.e. if you configured all groups as PT-100, then this module will be max. 4-AI.

Please see the picture attached extracted from technical specifications.
