Write a byte in a double word by STL inside a FC

Hi experts,

I want to create a block to send data to these bytes of a dword, so I did it but it'snot working well.

I want to write in the bytes of dwTemp and convert it after from Dword to Real. I'm using step7 v5.5 and this instruction in a FC.

Could you help me?

A lazy method

1. ensure there are no variables in Temp area before Your word variables

2. access bits by LB0, LB1, LB2, LB3 for 1st dword and LB4..LB7 for second dword

3. this way You do not need to use address register, etc.

Note: ensure variables accessed directly are NOT moved and nothing is added before them later!

My program was wrong, so dwtemp2 was a test because it'snot working with dwtemp.

The program follows this post as .txt, I exported from step7. I'm new using STL, so I think that it's a easy think but I don't know how to do.

When You look at Your local TEMP variables in FC/FB it show addresses

These addresses are LOCAL TEMP ADDRESSES accessed directly by Lxxxx

in the same way as You access Markers by using Mxxxx

this way You can access dword variable byte-by-byte or even bit-by-bit (useful for status words from drives, etc.)

for example You have a TEMP variable

DW: DWord; //DWord Variable which local address is LD0 (cover bytes LB0 to LB3)

You can access it by

- whole variable - symbolically by using #DW (or LD 0)

- two words (by accessing LW0 and LW2)

- four bytes (by accessing LB0..LB3)

- 32 bits (by accessiong L0.0 to L3.7)

or combinations of the above.
