Hi experts,

My experience on Modbus devices integration to Siemens SCADA is normally they communicate first to a S7 CPU before they can be displayed on WinCC runtime.

But can we configure Modbus TCP devices directly to the TIA Portal WinCC PC station (like other SCADA software)?

If so (I really hope), would it matter what type of device, or you only need to know the IP address and data register addresses?

I will be using the latest TIA Portal version.
