Mr Mihalev Thank you for info. I see from the FAQ that this does not apply if you are running the bus on a CP card (which is the case)? Either way my resources was greyed out on the CPU, so i can not alter it. Following values are read only: PG Comm: 1 OP Comm: 1 S7 Basic Comm: 0 S7 Comm: already configured Max no of connection resources: 16 The info also stated that this is due to NetPro? I further examined the CP card options and found something called "Multiplex CPU Connection Resource". What will happen if I tick this box and do i have to tick this box for all PLCs? I'm most frequently getting alarms from one specific PLC. |

Hello MatsNilsen connection multiplexing via the CP will preserve conection resources in the CPU, but you seem to have enough connections left (if you want to use connection multiplexing, see HERE for more). I suggest you first check and/or test the following (I don't have ProTool installed anymore, but believe it had the same settings as WinCC flexible): 1.)If ticked, untick "Cyclic Operation" in the PLC communication settings in ProTool 2.)If ticked, untick "Only master on the bus" in the PLC communication settings in ProTool Question: Are all you PLC's and HMI's in one S7 project and properly linked via NetPro? If not, you may have inconsistent Bus parameters across the PLC's and HMI's and will need to manually ensure that they are allthe same. Youwill also need to "inform" every ProTool HMI how many masters are on bus (there should be a setting in communication settings in ProTool) and note that a PLCas well as a HMI is a Master. Last but not least, below is a FAQ that may help too if you have newer PLC's and short cycle times in them: How can you increase the performance of HMI devices?
