Configuring Siemens PG m4 to go online with simatic manager using wireless router

I am having troubles going online in simatic manager via wireless router.

Kindly assist me on how to configure and go online with simatic manager using wireless router?

Hello,

in windows connect the Wireless Adapter to the Wlan AccessPoint.

open cmd- box an show if you can ping the PLC IP

In Simatic Manager open Options -> set PG/PC Interface

here configure for S7Online you wireless acces Network card

this is it.

Note!

with wireless it can happens that accessible nodes is not working because the WLAN access point/Router doesn't support the MAC Broadcast which used for discover the network!

to answer such questions it was helpfull if you provide a screenshot which interfaces are available.

Normally the wireless network interface have Wireless in his name.

Hello,

simple can be look at Windows network connections (adapter properties) which Wireless connection is active, because you can have more connections created. Set that active connection name-number in PG/PC interface.

We have various WiFi access points in our factory and on most access points the PG just connects

On a few access points ,where we have to use our domain logon it does not connect .

I think that your problem could also be related to the configuration in the access point.
