Hi Hristo ive been following your posts with regards to downloading a project to OP37. I understand the drawing above and looking at the op37 manual i have some questions: on the OP side of the plug 1) in the manual it says pins 12 and 15 is ground. Do i have to short pin 12 to 15 or they are already connected inside? 2) do i have to conect pin 12 to housing cause i've seen some diagrams where they say you should 3) ive also seen some diagrams where it says that you have to conect pins PC-------------OP7/17 7-RTS----------CTS--5 8-CTS----------RTS-10 is this neccesary ? or we can get away with shorting those pins on the PC side ? Some posts ive seen said that some people had problems with communication and this solved their probs. If I were to do this then i guess (on the PC side) i don't have to short 7 & 8 but I still have to short 1 - 6 - 4. , although in the diagram that I atached it shows PC 6-8--------------10 OP. and it doesnt say anything about 1-4 what to do with them. I guess maybe I'm thinking to much about it and it's just as simple as u described it above but i'm so confused because it seems everywhere i go there is another diagram. (like the one atached) and I just don't know which one to use when making the cable. They all seem to be consistent though and make sense (some have more pins connected then others) and this is why its so frustrating. Thanks in advance Mickey Splitted from Could I draw like this?. |

Dear Mickey, Here is a link, with more information about how to transfer project to panel: What transfer options are available in the various operator panels? For the OP37 there are several options. One of them is serial, you will need the cable 6XV1 440-2KH32. Have a look at this link for pin out: What is the serial cable assignment for transferring the configuration to an CMOS operator panel?
