PG720II Comport 1 trouble

hipack015 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Dear ALL, My Siemens PG 720 PII the Comport 1 (25 Pin Female Port) is defective. It not communicate with Siemens S5 PLC. It seems it is not working. Due to this defect My PG is not in use for S5 PLC programing and Trouble Shooting. If anybody knows to switch communication Comport 1 (25 pin) to Comport 2 (9Pin Male Port) for Siemens S5 programe use. In this case I can use this PG for S5 PLC use. Kindly support me and advice me if it is possible and also cable drawing to convert S5 PLC communication cable from 25 pin to 9 pin. Need urgent help. Thanks,

But what about S5 internal settings to change Communication port from Com port 1 to Com Port 2. If some one knows this setting it will help me great. Thanks,

Brynboy17 Posts: 27 Rating: (14)	Select File -> Project -> Set Select PLC and tab down to Parameter which will be set at Com1: Key F3 will give you a selection drop down menu from which you can select Com2 Enter Don't forget to save your changes when exiting Step 5
