Amontillada Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Can anyone help me with the following: I need to install a .dll file on the PG740. Is there a way I can connect to the internet (as it doesn't have a regular ethernet port)? I've already tried downloading the .dll on CD-rom, but it can't seem to read it, even though I have the proper Windows version... Thanks for your help!

At least CD-ROM must work properly in order to install a drivers for some converter (RS232 to Ethernet)...and drivers must support Windows OS there... Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

I have three files on the CD-rom, 1 of them it can read, the other two it just doesn't see for some odd reason, even though they are regular .exe and .dll We'll try via floppy tomorrow, we have some IT-antiques here, among which apparently a USB Floppy Drive :)

Amontillada Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Nope, no USB, the thing is 20 years old. But it did have a CD-rom drive installed afterwards. Only, for some odd reason, installing the actual program I need (downloaded onto CD-rom) is no problem. When I download the .exe to install the .dll or the .dll itself on the exact same CD-rom, it does not appear on the CD-rom content when I open it on the PG740. Beats my sense of logical entirely. So, what we'll be trying today is connect a floppy-drive via USB to one of our regular hardware, download the .exe and the .dll on there, and then insert the floppy in the PG740 floppy drive, see if that makes any difference (I would be surprised, but hey ho). And for the record: I'm a she, not a he.
