Problem in PC Adapter

Hello all:

I have operating system Windows 7 64-bit SP1 , and Simatic basic 5.5 , WinCC advance 2008.

I used SIMATIC PC Adapter to communicate between PC and PLC.

If i connect PLC S7 400 before (data transfer) and check driver in 'Device Manager' , i got on result as shown in picture "driver_ok.png" .

While i start in data transfer between PC and PLC , i got on result on 'Device Manager' as shown in picture "problem driver.png"

I installed driver of SIMATIC PC Adapter for win7 64-bit, but the same problem still occur.

Can anyone help me?

Hello,

what exact type/order number of PC adapter (is original or China)? I recommend never install other driver as default after install Siemens SW, only in case of HW problems. Other important thing is, if your PC adapter (maybe China) support x64 bit OS, be carefuly with selection.

can be a problem with the USB cable.

Do you use the original USB Cable?

Which USB Port do you use?

in this case I can only recommend this link, hope you don't need reinstall Siemens SW due changed driver. Also check Christoph's post for first, give answer to his post.

Has this adapter external power? Is there any more information with right click on the fault driver? Maybe irq conflict or something like this?!?

Hi,

IRQ conflict -> some device shared the Interrupts on the system, this can sometimes be a problem.

But what exactly is reported in the device manager when the yellow sign appear? 
Check the exact Message from windows here!
