Simatic Field PG M3 Software Downgrade or New Install

mijmij Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi, We have a Field PG M3, but in a new project (with old SW environment ) I have to work with S7 and ProTool. Impossible to install ProTool over S7 v5.5. How can I downgrade this S7 to older one or How can I install all software (WinXP, S7, drivers .... ??? unfortunatelly I didn't found any driver CD) ? (Of course I have already made a complet image backup of HDD)

gazap Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Which Version of pro-tool are you using? I installed V6.0+SP3 without a problem with Step7 5.5 sp3 already installed. IBN-Service Posts: 8946 Rating: (999)	mijmij ... Impossible to install ProTool over S7 v5.5. ... Like already said here, WinXP + Step7 V5.5 + ProTool V6.0 SP3 = NO PROBLEM! If you are running Windows XP, what is the error message you recieve? I do run this configuration on a lot of machines without any problem. Win7 => NOT POSSIBLE! If you are running Windows 7, you need a virtual machine like Windows Virtual PC or Virtual Box, both are free of charge. There are some tricks to install ProToolalso underWin7, but it never will run perfectly.

mijmij Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I have to use ProTool 5.2 When I tried to install it, the answer is : "There is a newer version already installed on this system" But it couldn't open the ProToolpart of Project. :-( I tried with WMware and older SW version too, but it is too slowly ...
