Upgrade for Field PG M2

machaeis Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello .. I'm upgrading a Field PG M2, and I would like to know how do not to have conflict of software. I need to use the softwares: WinCC2008, TIA V11, STEP7 V5.5, MicroWin 4.0 SP9, SETP 5 V7.2, Protool SP3+HF3, Drive ES V5.5, Profibus Config V5.1, V7.3 HMI Advanced. I intend to use three partitions: Windows 7, Windows XP for SETP 5 Operations and old softwares and other Windows XP only for Sinumerik softwares (802, 810, 840D tool boxes).

Hi, Iwould maketwo partitions:Windows XP first with all software packages except the TIA. On second partition Win7 and the TIA only. I dont see the need of havinga thirdpartition with Win XP. gre_m Posts: 947 Rating: (45)	for s5 need S5 EPROM adapter. As variant it can work without wirtual. Other soft as may be install on virtual. But i prefer separate partition

I used one little of each, and I mounted a new hard disk with five partitions: First Partition (100GB) - Windows Seven: for new Simatic softwares Second Partition (100GB) - Windows XP: for old simatic softwares, and others that I use, also with Virtual PC with MS-DOS 6.22 for IBS and PCIN 4.2 Softwares. ( I did one cpu to Step 5 too). Third Partition (20GB) - Windows XP only to Sinumerik operations (HMI Advanced for example). Fourth Partition (180GB) - Data Partition. Fifth Partition (100GB) - Recovery Partition (backup). To this moment I tested all softwares and all right with all.. Thanks guys!

machaeis Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have not used OS Manager software, but guess that Iwould use Acronis OS Selector! I created all the partitions in the installation of Windows Seven. First I installed all the systems (win7 + winxp1 + winxp2). After I installed Acronis True Image software on Windows Seven and activated the Recovery Manager Startp. Then the system reboots I made a backup of each important point for security. Everything worked normal ... I havetwo menus, the boot system Windows 7, and after XP menu.

We tried to open in our field Pg , but we are not able to do this. We are getting message as per attached file. Kindly advice how we can upgrade our PG.
