Dear all Please suggest me where i have to put CT for measuring load(Ampere) in VFD feeder,input side or output side of the VFD and why? |

I also want to add that, this will depend upon which current you required to monitor If you want Output current, you need to mount CT at output side but remember Output current will not be pure sine wave And if you want to monitor load from supply side, you need to install CT at input side Both Current will be different - check Inverter input current is low than output for more study Regards, Devesh |

Further to this post.. It depends which current you want to measure, every device has a input current which is different to the output current it is supplying.
