WebUX: Unsupported objects in WinCC Professional V18

Hello all,

I recently installed WinCC Professional V18 to start migrating my environment from V17. On the first try compiling after converting the project I was greeted with ~4600 "WebUX: Unsupported object" warnings. I then started a new project with a single screen and only a rectangle inside and got the same warning. So I concluded the problem is not my original converted project. If I disable WebUX for the screens, the project compiles without a single warning.

Has anyone seen this behavior? Am I missing something very obvious?

Hi,

If the same happens with a newly created project, then it has to be something related to your TIA V18 installation.

I would recommend installing Update 3 of the V18 software and "Repairing" the V18 setup if needed:

Updates for STEP 7 V18, S7-PLCSIM V18 and WinCC V18

Note: WebUX warnings can be hidden. Go to "Runtime settings > Compiler options" and select the "Hide WebUX warnings" check box.

Finally, you could check if in the original project, you are using some unsupported functions for WebUX V18:

Exactly, after trying a newly created project I concluded it could only be my install. Last night I restarted from scratch leaving out Project Server and User Management components, and also tried compiling the project before applying any updates, and it worked. I don't think any of those two components I left out were to blame, I left them out for simplicity.

I will follow along now adding the missing components, applying updates, and see how it goes.

Back to this topic: last friday I updated TIA Portal from V18 to V18 Update 3 and the problem is back, WebUX objects are not recognized.

I will try a fresh VM and TIA install. If anyone has any info on this that could share, I will be very thankful.

Hello,

i'm getting the same problem after installed update3.

i tried also with a new project with one screen and also i got the same WebUX unsupported object.

it was occurred only at my desktop, so i moved the PG to my M6 laptop, after few days, my laptop also got the same problem.

at my desktop, i tried a fresh installation with TIA v18 and still got the same issue.

for me the problem is solved:

removed the WebUX selection on web screens.

removed screen windows from the web screens (i think this is the problem).

deleted the IM folder.

compiled successfully

enable the WebUX selection on the web screens.

compiled successfully and i didn't get any WebUX warnings.

downloaded successfully without any error or warnings.

by the way; i have upgraded the Wincc Professional Engineering to UPDATE4 which is released JUNE-2024 but i don't thing that the problem was with UPDATE3.
