White/Grey Base

Hi all,

I've been struggling to find this information, there might be other questions as well.

1) Should the white base unit handle all the gray modules connected to it from the right, correct?

2) Based on this knowledge and from the link below, how many gray bases can be connected to this potential white base?

If I have 12 Analog Inputs, can I supply all of them with just one white base?

White Base:

6ES7193-6BP00-0DA0 SIMATIC ET 200SP, BASEUNIT BU15-P16+A0+2D, BU-TYPE A0, PUSH

Dark Base:

6ES7193-6BP00-0BA0 SIMATIC ET 200SP, BASEUNIT BU15-P16+A0+2B, BU-TYPE A0, PUSH

Hi,

In the ET200SP case, the light bases supply voltage to the dark bases that stay on right up to the next light base. 

the supply capacity is limited to 10A. The number of the dark bases on right is irrelevant. Just the current is take in account.

In addition, I got relevant information from Siemens Support. The white base units enable a new potential group for the IO modules of the ET200SP range, which means that they provide the supply power to the dark/grey base units to the right of this module.

The number of grey base units that the module will provide sufficient power too will depend on the number and type of modules that are configured to the right of the white base unit. This is because the different modules will consume a varying amount of power.

The best way to determine how many white base units will be required is by configuring your setup in the TIA Selection tool, as this will indicate whether there is enough power supplied in each potential group that you have configured. I have included a link to this tool below:
