Ethernet or Profibus-DP?!

tazan Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	I have just started studying Process control systems SIMATIC PCS7 & WinCC. As I have learned, the communication between I/O devices and the supervisory computers, which are installed with WinCC, is conducted via Profibus-DP protocol. But now, I have learned that beside Profibus-DP, Ethernet protocol is also used with the same task. I wonder that which protocol is better. Can you help me?
