Why do not you just try it? 2.) Why do you want to control 2 counters simultaneously with one input? Since it is in my opinion once by 1 day counter, which at the end of the day cleared and a second counter which covers the total over all days.

Bronze Member Joined: 11/15/2017 Last visit: 9/2/2022 Posts: 87 Rating: (0)	I have tried in simulation and its ok, Now I have added the attached code to an existing program and downloaded to the logo it only operates the original counter....I have attached the amended code . Input 3 is using multiple counters...product counter and gap detection Ade Attachment ACM_DATA_21_06_19.zip (285 Downloads)

One counter directly (B030), two counters (B031 and B060) in parallel via a off delay. And which counters do not work now? What is the purpose of the off delay?

If the break is greater than 0.9s, this should be counted as an error, in parallel with B031 and B60. Is that correct? If so, then it is up to your programming that the counters do not count. Example: I3 reports a product. Counter B030 counts 1 up, Off-delay B064 starts with 0.9s, counters B031 and B090 count up to 1. 0,7 seconds later, I3 reports another product. B030 counts again 1 up, Off-Delay B064 remains at HIGH because it is retriggered. This keeps the signal at the counter inputs at HIGH and the counters do not detect new edges and can not count. That's why you think the counters do not count.

If I understand you correctly, then you want to count with B031 and B60, if the time intervals between the individual products are greater than 0.9s (normal 0.7s). Make between the off delay B064 and the two counters a NAND block. As long as products come in the right time interval, B064 remains HIGH. Only if e.g. a product is missing, B064 can not be retriggered and the 0.9s can finish. Then B064 goes LOW and the NAND block gives one cycle pulse to the count inputs of the two counters and they count up one.
