Tyhoon Regular Member Joined: 9/1/2010 Last visit: 6/14/2024 Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a project which requires 8 DO,8 DI and the ability to be controlled and monitored from a mobile phone/web app. My client is expecting me to develop a system which can then be rubber stamped for further sales. The application requires a industrial controller able to handle 40deg C temperatures. From what I have read the IOT2050 is a great candidate for this. I am in the process of designing and would appreciate it if anyone has any recommendations? Arduino Shields for 8DO and 8DI? I have experience with C, C++ & Python but see that Code Red is used quite alot, is CR the go to with the IOT2050's? eg most supportive I see there is lots of recent posts on this forum which looks supportive, are they just calls for help or are people actually getting assistance by Siemens and or Experts? Any good resources for help setting up? Thanks Colin

We only have a 10x DI shield and the I/O Module with 5x DI and 2x DQ.. The only shield I found on google is this one: https://www.rugged-circuits.com/24v-industrial/24v-industrial-shield. But not sure whether this is available. I suppose you are talking about 24V IOs? Having a suitable 24V I/O shield is most challenging criteria in your application I guess. Basically reading / writing IOs is possible with each of the languages you mention. For python / C++ we use the mraa lib, for node-red we have suitable, pre-installed nodes for this. When it comes to support this forum is the only platform available, I will be there to support you the best I can. Best regards!

I have been looking at designing my own PCB's to solve the IO issue, which is coming along well. I haven't got the project yet but have been reassured there is some help out there if needed thanks to your reply.
