Hi there

I recently came across the product announcement for the upcoming IOT2050. I also came across this installation manual. I've been using the IOT2020 and 2040 for a while now and have designed custom casing and a front plate to fit certain shields. I'd love to get started with the IOT2050 as soon as it's released, but I read it'll be until July (Hannover Fair) until it's actually on display.

Is there any chance we could get acces to the 3D models of the casing and the device earlier than that? The models provided in this thread for the IOT2020 and 2040 were a huge help to us. Does anything similar exist for the 2050? It'd be awesome if we could get started in CAD even before the actual device is released.

I found the following part number for the IOT 2050: 6ES7647-0BA00-0YA2.

Using this information in the CAx download editor, I requested 2D and 3D files, as you can see in the screenshot below. There is no error message up to now.

I suggest you start your own request in CAx downloads (at the right of this page), to collect the file types you need, and see what will be sent.

My request was fulfilled, too. Sadly, it contained no 3D models. The accompanied files mentioned "No 3D model available", same for the 2D model.

I hope some of the folks working on this device can help me out like they did in this thread.

Is there any progress on this topic? We have received our IOT2050 unit in the meantime, but a 3D model would still be incredibly helpful to design neat add-ons.
