Hi,

I would like to know if the integrated inputs/outputs of IoT2050 support both active or passive elements, or only one of them (and which).

We haven't defined if we are going to use SIMATIC I/O Shield or any of the Arduino compatible ones.

(Using an external device connected via S7 is not an option in this case).

the IOT2050 supports both active and passive I/O elements. You can use the SIMATIC I/O Shield for active I/Os or the GPIOs directly for passive I/Os with their 3,3V / 5V.

If you want to use a shield we recommend you something like the ARD SHD SCREW2 Arduino Shield.
