Hi, Which type of license are you trying to transfer? The CPU410 has a special procedure for transferring licenses like updating AS PO to the SEC card. |
If I could help you, you can use the RATE button. Thank you. |

Hi, See the following link for the manual of the CPU-410. In there, the update procedure is described when using expansion packs. See the V9.1 version, page 65. |

Hi, Did you follow the exact procedure? Normally you should transfer the license to the CPU via Online mode and then click on License->Upgrade to receive the activation file. That file is saved in a Siemens folder:Documents->Siemens->Automation->PCS7->Activations. You need to send that file to support. After evaluation, you get a release file from support that you need to transfer to the CPU and then the license is activated. PS: Unfortuanetely you already bought the licenses, but since firmware V8.2.4, this redundant Profinet license is not needed anymore.... See the following notes:

Hi, Ah ok, that is more clear now. Did you already hit the Upgrade button? If so, you cannot transfer the activation file once its assigned to the CPU (as the manual describes) I suggest you contact support on how to solve this then |

Hi, I'm not sure if it's possible to put the licenses back to the USB drive once it has been dragged and dropped to the Online CPU. The manual does not say anything about this. It is possible to move them to another connected AS when the Upgrade has not been executed. Maybe you should create a support request. Also take a look at my previous comment about the firmware...If you upgrade to V8.2.4, you won't need the license anymore... |
