You may be new for Siemens, let me try to answer your 2nd question as the 1st I don’t understand

MMC 100.2 is a lower level HMI , no HDD , we talking for nc program memory, mostly I think you want to run large program generated by cad/ cam. If I m right? MMC 100.2 has 2 series ports com 1 and com 2, you can use RS 232 cable to transfer from your external PC through MMC 100.2 to 840 D NCU

Hello,

recently I bought a chevalier vmc2033 with sinumerik 840d MMC100.2. 

I have a few questions:

- Is it possible to visualise work coordinates for example G54 on the main screen? I can see the zero point shift in the menu but not the actual values. 

-Is their a way to expand the program memory? their is no ethernet connection or usb port on the pc.

For G54 display you can find in vertical menu WCS and MCS, try it to see if you can see some you want ( also including in the manual I suggest)

I am indeed running Cad Cam on the machine. 

Communication between the controller and DNC4U works without a problem. 

Indeed for future larger 3D programs I want more memory than 1.2mb memory. 

Is drip feed a possIbillity? 

I'll try to explain the first question more in detail. 

- I set the machine work piece offset as G54. 

- The machine saves this offset as an ofsett value in function off the machine zero point.

- I cannot find how to visualise the actual value for G54 X, Y, Z.  

- On the main screen G54 is visualized for a few seconds but jumps back to the machine zero point (see video)
