Error when trying to install SIZER 3.0

Luis R. Regular Member Joined: 6/24/2008 Last visit: 6/25/2019 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi, When trying to install Sizer 3.0 in a computer the installation broke before installing CADCreator. Now I am trying to reinstall SIZER but the installation doesn't even start and the installations ends with the message: "Setup has detected an installed version of SIZER that has the same version number as the software to be installed, but for which the required uninstallation information is not available. SINAMICS MICROMASTER SIZER Setup will be aborted". I have tried to remove the broken installation from the Control Panel but it doesn't show up as an installed program. I have also tried to install a previous version but the same message appears telling that there is a newer version installed. Any clue? Thanks inadvance!

umencho Diamond Member Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 3/30/2025 Posts: 10239 Rating: (1183)	Hello Look at Windows Installer CleanUp Utility how to ininstall copmletly. Other similar way is to go in registry and manual with search and delete to reove all Sinamics Sizer 3.0. Then try to install again. Let e know the result. regards

Regular Member Joined: 6/24/2008 Last visit: 6/25/2019 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	This is what I did: - First I tried the cleanup utility, but the error still appeared - Next I deleted ALL registers containing the string SIZER, and the installation allowed me to continue, but it crashed later showing an error of communication with SQL 2005 - Finally I uninstalled the SQL and then reinstalled it , but using the version in the SIZER 3.1 CD... after that I could install SIZER 3.1 Thanks for your help.
