Insert alarms into PCS7 that are on a S7-300

Filipe_M Joined: 6/16/2023 Last visit: 10/29/2024 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello, If I have a project in PCS 7, and I want to insert alarms that are on an S7-300 connected via TCPIP, will this not interfere with the alarms in the rest of the project? I have the Alarm tags in Tag Management and in the Symbol Table. In Alarm Logging do I have to create a new Message Type? Does this have any restrictions regarding the name? Make sure that it does not conflict with message numbers of PCS7 PLCs. Best way is to use "Send" and "Receive" block to access the address/data of the S7-300 PLC and generate the alarms. So that you do not loose any data after any modification(Compilation of OS)
