IOT2050 keep rebooting on it's own

Loaded OS Image initially where the unit kept rebooting when attempt was made to change the Example image via sd card. Every time when reboot, Industrial OS was loaded instead of Example image. The application uses Node-red with MySQL. Boot order was changed to sd card. But reboot was kept happening. Firmware updated to V1.4.3 however the unit keeps rebooting after about 20 minutes running on the new firmware. Kindly advise on how can the reboot issue be overcome. Thank you in advance. udae Joined: 3/12/2024 Last visit: 8/15/2025 Posts: 183 Rating: (7)	Hey RKBIS, the automatic reboot after 20min is a bit strange - I assume this goes back to some application or setting you are running on the image. Can you please try to grab all logs before the boot. You can use a connected screen or an UART serial cable with tools like PuTTY. In my understanding you have an installed IndOS on your emmc and our Example Image on the SD card. Now you want to boot the Example Image from the SD card instead of the IndOS, correct? Maybe the IOT2050 is not able to boot from the SD card but we need to confirm this with the logs. What SD card are you using? What Example Image are you using? What tool did you use for writing the image to the SD Card? Is there a specific output before the reboot attempts? BR

udae Joined: 3/12/2024 Last visit: 8/15/2025 Posts: 183 Rating: (7)	Hello RKBIS, I have investigated on your provided logs but to be honest I can't find a critical Log or Error that could lead to the automatic reboots. The boot process and kernel initialization looks normal. We need to check for the following: Hardware: Can you verify your power supply stability, your SD card seating or check for any other loose connections Software: Please verify your system: What OS are you using? What FW is installed? fw_printenv fw_version cat /etc/os-release eMMC and SD card: Can you verify if your system is booting from eMMC or from the SD card? You used the command mkfs.ext4 /dev/mmcblk1 to clear your eMMC ("Specific Output before Reboot.jpeg") - Maybe we have some mix-up here firmware-update-tool: on the first impression it seems like you are using not the latest Example Image (from the images I would assume you are on Example Image V1.1.1 because of the linux-kernel V5.10.104): If thats correct you need to update your firmware-update-tool before performing the update -> please have a look into our instructions here (follow the guide step-by-step)! We also added the steps on how to FW Update V1.4.3 on Example Image V1.1.1, V1.2.2 and V1.3.1 If nothing of these steps help I would assume we make a downgrade both of the FW and the OS to V1.1.1 - let me know if you need instructions for this. But first please verify and try the steps above. BR

No loose connections observed. Software: Firmware installed is Fw_version= 2023.10-V01.04.03-0-gc08865a. Please refer to attached screenshot. Boot from sd card.
