Message Re-alarming functionality

fazal hussain Posts: 42 Rating: (0)	Hi, i want a re-alarming functionality where a message is generated by alram_8p block. i want this message to repeat after 15 minutes if the signal is still active and even if the message has been acknowledged by the operator is there any way to do this without using timers as i dont want to overload my cpu

fazal hussain Posts: 42 Rating: (0)	hi, thanks for the reply, Iwant to implement the re-alarming logic in a custom FB. This FB also contains a Ctrl_Pid block. So if i insert the whole FB in a block thats being called after every 15 minutes, what will be the effect on the functionality of the Ctrl_Pid. (As we know, Ctrl_Pid is normally placed in OB35)?

fazal hussain Posts: 42 Rating: (0)	hi, do u think i can acheive the same functionality by following the following steps: 1. When the alarm bit goes high, move the current CPU time to a register 2. Wait till the difference between the stored value of time and the current CPU time becomes equal to 15 minutes. For this we would require a subtractor+comparator of some sorts. 3. Regenerate the alarm when the difference is 15 minutes. Is there any block other than SFC 1 (read clock) for this purpose?

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi, I don´t think this is very usefull....WinCC is putting the alarmstamp on your messages. By the way you could cause very easily message overflows which may have very serious effects in WinCC nemo
