Hello Simocode pro V PN supports the system redundancy S2 and hence can be used in combination with a redundant PLC (H-System). But Sinamics G120 (PN-versions of Control Units) actually (7/2024) do not support system redundancy S2 and can't be used with a redundant PLC. To be more precisely, you could etablish the communication to only one CPU of the redundant pair with G120 PN-Control Units, means the communication will get lost in case this CPU fails. Usually this is not, what most users want to archieve. For redundant connection of G120 to an H-System, you need to use Profibus version of Control Unit in combination with Y-Link. You need to consider, that it is not only a question of physical connection when it comes to connecting a PN-IO-device to a H-System, but also a question of at least S2 capability (non redundant Profinet-network with H-System or after Y-switch or R1-capability (direct connection to redundant Profinet-network).
