Replacement C7-613 cpu - Configuration Tool for the Panel

DearUMENCHO,
last week I attended one breakdown case on C7-613 cpu. We got new C7, then simply removed MMC from old CPU and put in New CPU. Made warm restart, it become ok. I uploaded the backup using Simatic manager without any error. There is no separate HMI backup. In hardware configuration itself we can see the HMI object inserted. FB is used to generate alarms for HMI. FB1 HMI API FB for the basic HMI functions FB2 HMI EVENT FB for the message output FB3 HMI MENU FB for the screen hierarchy/display sequence -- are used Really protool requird for HMI configuration ? Because in technical data it is telling about CPU 313C CPU only. No mention about hmi used ( in higher version we can see the hmi used in tech specification). if i want to convert this project to separate PLC-HMI combination, how can i do? I have uploaded back up with me. |

Hello, I suggest you go through these manuals to understand the system, for sure you need “Configuration Tools for SIMATIC C7-613, you have that? Protool is not mentioned in both manuals. C7-613 Control System Getting Started First Steps in Commissioning C7-613 Control System If you want to use separate CPU and HMI you have to write atleast the HMI part new i'm afraid, you can use the configuration of the C7-613 as lead, if you can read the backup with the Configuration Tool. DearMarcjan, Thank you for the reply. I was going through the manuals. No, I dont have any tool with me. Only thing available is uploaded backup. If tool is available, can i get info related to configured things in hmi ? tool name?

Hai Marc, I have installed the config tool in my old pg where Windows Xp is available. But i think there is some problem in my PG. Its giving an error while opening any project(not only with C7 project) --Wincc objects cannot be edit When i opened Config DB, it get opened as normal protected DB. Nothing is visible Currently i dont have any other pc too. Am attaching the uploaded backup project here with, if anybody is having C7 tool installation, please have a try
