Can replace 416-2dp with 416-3pn/dp?

Then after downloading plc program on it, without any fault. But the machine doesnt work. Should I do anything mora? What should I check? Please help me on this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Replace CPU 416-2 DP by CPU 414-3 PN/DP.

(joking mode) To help you out we need to know some more details, i.e. partnumbers of the CPU's. is there a profibus network? Are there any red leds on the CPU?
