hello friends i am a beginner to logo programming who needs your help one of my senior taught me reverse forward dol starter. in this program we have used e.stop and motor off push button. from these we gave input to "and" gate block boo1. the inputs are not inverted. another program for simple dol starter i downloaded from one of the threads. in that program the programmer used inverted input to "and" gate from motor off button. please explan. Dear somnolent , Well Come to the forum! If you are beginner for LOGO and familiar to other PLC program, I suggest you to start with ladder diagram instead of FBD. You can convert FBD diagram to LAD or viceversa by clicking Covert to LAD at the top right of LOGO Soft tool bar ( I have attached here the ladder diagram of your program). Then you can simulate and observe the function. The two programs are different. Your program DOL Starter fbd is a simple start/stop program with output latch but there is redundant AND block, you can make it further short. Your program REV FWD DOL program is forward reverse motor control. The two programs are totaly different that is why the usage of block B001 is different.
