your DB is probably set with Optimized access, confirm this on DB's option. You need use not optimized access in your DB in case of use Pointer notation in block. You need un-check this option, recompile DB and download after change this to CPU. Then you can use Pointer notation in your code with Master block.

How are we going to do this? I am also facing the same problem

without to see your block and what paramerers you have set there is simply hard to recommend something. How is your store data DB or memory defined?

no problem. Is your store DB set as not access optimized as is sugested inside this Topic as requirement? Next sugestion then. Can't imagine now correct functionality with your set quick poll time cyclus. Default settings are 1s and you set some system with Counter also. I see you have 2 different MASTER blocks but for initial test do it with only read and check functionality. Is simply hard to say if your test is mixed with more other MASTER blocks f.ex. and what can do this your maybe wrong handling of them. Set REQ manually via some Merker and set also condition with error and then save STATUS to some save area to see that. For best handling of data you can use better WORD as data type of store data memory for read and write also. You need simply take to account also that in next Pointer notification you need define that correctly. I don't know what Slave device you have and what data type it requires. Simply this all is affected with many cfg options and isn't easy to solve. Did you some tests with some PC application and see if this is working also? Your error status is also during some not functional block state, look at next MASTER block where looks like same store data area is defined but different ERROR is shown. Therefore I recommend to do tetsts with only one MASTER block and then do some state machine system.

I didn't optimize anything. I don't know how to do it. I used ModBus Slave application, but I could only receive TX data in it. RXs were not coming, no light on the module at the moment. In practice, I was aiming to read and write values from the temperature controller :) Autonics TK4S-T4RN

ok. Right click on your DB where data rae stored and you can see there Optimized access option. Unclick it as it is unchecked. Rebuld your DB and set new pointer on your MASTER block. Rebuild all and download changes to CPU. Your problem can be that optimized access set at DB as also error code shows. Simply MASTER blocks requires it unchecked, so not optimized acces set in this case. Are your expected registers addresses correct also? It could be also better test your PLC with PC app acting as Slave RTU and check if your PLC will recive data correctly. Then after success you can beter check functionality with real Slave device.

Another type of buffer for data can be use of memory buffer. You can reserve it with pointer notation like example: P#M100.0 WORD 10 what means that memory from MW100 to MW109 will be reserved for data exchange and also accessible like your Array maybe in DB.

 I think I did but I don't think there is a change :(
