Hello, Did you you connect all as per manual: SIMATIC ET 200S distributed I/O Digital electronic module 8DI DC24V (6ES7131-4BF00-0AA0) Regards, Marcjan |

Dear Sir, On that same card other field sensors are connected and they are working okay only this field device is creating problem. |

Dear Ashishm, Could you please check if other signals in '1" state taking 5 mA from. I mean data sheet saying it as a typical value not necessarily shall be 5mA. Regards, Vijay |

Dear N.Vijay, Yes I checked with Simple proxy sensor and found that it is taking 5mA current. Now what externally I can connect to make it sense the signal. Secondly I was thinking that can I use analog Input card of 0 to 10 volt and can have signal sensed at high and low value. |

Hello ashishm, Try to Used the Barrier (Make like MTL or P&F), & then See its work or not...? I think It will work with Barrier..... So no need to do more R & D... |

Hi ashishm A "stupid suggestion", maybe you have already checked it ... Are the 0V of your 24VDC connected to the PM module in the rack of the DI module and 0V of the 24VDC supply to the sensor at same potential. !! The 0V ( -ve ) of the two supplies should be shorted to each other. !!! Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |

Dear All, Thanks for your valuable suggestion. Problem concluded was that field device could not provide 5 mA load to DI card due to which it could not sensed the 1 state of device. FInally problems was resolved with using analog 2 wire card(+10 V and -10 V) which total depends on voltage as feedback. My field device was giving 24 V and 0 V. I reduce this 24 V to 8 V through resistance. Now If I get 8 V on voltage Card than it is 1 state and less than 1 V it is 0 state. |
