Hello, I know that in WinCC, errors, warnings and events are different classes with different acknowledge principles. I get the difference between errors, warnings and events with this topic: HERE
But I don't get the difference between errors and alarms. So my question is: vocabulary (or technically) -wise, what is an alarm? When would you say, this is an alarm, this is an error? Are errors, warnings and events subdivisions of the general term "alarms"? Thank you for your answers |

Hello! I can try to explain you on the example of a valve. If the command to open a valve is sent, but it is not moving, then it is error with the text "Valve not open". If the closed valve causing some high level of water, then it is alarm "Water high level".
