Backup TP270- 6 inch via PC adapter USB A2

When I connect it to MPI port by PC adapter 6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0, the adapter was not supplied power. I read operating instruction of this adaptor, it might be required external power supply in case of that MPI interface dont have a 24 V. But I also found in other document that new PC adapter USB A2 6GK1571-0BA00-0AA0 does not need external power because This type of PC adapter is supplied with power via the USB cable. This mean I can use new PC adapter to connect directly to the HMI, Do I correct or not?

YES, you can connect this adapter directly to HMI, I do it many times and it is working fine!

Because I also did many time with other HMI with 6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0 and also fine, did not need external power. Alll panel that support download with MPI / DP Interface will work. I am talking about the original Siemens - Adapter, not the "chinese clones".
