dear all engineers and expert : i need to take a back up from siemens panel with part number 6AV6 642- 0AA11-0AX1 the problem appears when i try to connect by prosave v13 (no connection established ) i tried by MPI PC adaoter cable and PPI cable but nothing happened .... could you recommend me the best cable to connect ( PC adapter ) or (PPI CABLE ) and the appropriate prosave version and the appropriate procedure

Dear eng Ayman can i use reguler serial 9 pin cable with USB to Serial convrter without needing to use this siemens right angle adapter ??? thanks in Advance |

Hello, I have never tried this solution and I don't think it will work. As it is not written in the excel sheet attached in prev. post. You should select in Prosave or WinCC flexible the cable you already connect to your Panel. And you will not found a selection with a serial - USB converter. |
