Hi all,

My TP1200 screen right now is showing mac address and asking to update the OS while the panel waiting for 10minute.

I tried using TIA portal to do the factory setting but I could do anything to reboot the HMI.

Any suggestion guys?

Hi guys,

The attachment file is the picture I print screen. My HMI model is TP1200.

What happened before.

1. I download the program to the HMI

2.  After it's done, the start button on the HMI cant be press

3. So I tried to restart the HMI by switch on and off the cycle power

4. After power up the white screen asking for OS update is appear.

Before this I can download the program inside and it works.

Question

1. From the picture no 2, why the step no 4 is asking to switch off the power supply of the operator panel (HMI)?

2. After I switch off, do I need to switch back to on?

3. From picture no 3, I did follow the step but I could not proceed to the Load. I am using the ethernet protocol. I using the default IP address : 192.168.0.2 but could not connect and the load button did not appear.

4. I tried to skip step 6(pic no 3) but I could not establish the connection.

which is need to set the transfer mode.

we don't know the IP address of the HMI

so the Load button never appear.

We tried using Prosave, we enter the Correct MAC Address, then we pressed the UPDATE OS, it tends to communicate with the HMI but for very long time I can't Communicate.. we cycle power the HMI while communicating, still the same. Perhaps bugs in the HMI?

Problem solved with the help of siemens support

Siemens Reply-

For that, follow the steps below:

- Open the Control Panel of the computer
- Check in the top right corner if "viewed as" (or similar) is set to small or large icons (not category)
- Open "Set PG/PC-Interface (32-Bit)"
- In the Drop-Down menu on top, check that the access point is set to S7ONLINE
- In the list below are all network interfaces of the computer listed. Search there for the ethernet-adapter, with which the panel is connected to the PC and select it. CAUTION, there are 3 entries for the Ethernet-Interface, select the one that ends with ".TCPIP.1" (NOT .TCPIP.Auto.1)
- Hit ok

ProSave:
- Set on the general tab the connection to Ethernet or PN/IE
- Set on the general tab an IP-adress for the panel, which is in the same subnet then the computer
- In the OS Update tab, check the box for reset to factory settings, enter the MAC adress of the panel and click on update (panel should be started before)

If it still doesn't work now, disable all firewalls and anti virus softwares, because some of these softwares don't let neccessary packages pass, that are needed for establishing the connection.

From which folder you could select theTP1200 image ?

I could not trace it for comfort panel 1200 from hmi-> transfer folder. Where as CP_4, CP_7,9; CP_15,19,22 are available. But could not track for 1200. 

Any idea ? Wincc advance V13 sp1
