Connect 32 CPU 1214 to a TP1200 comfort

Larionov Experienced Member Joined: 3/27/2012 Last visit: 6/9/2023 Posts: 32 Rating: (10)	Good solution (requires additional licenses and additional PC): many PLC's are connected to one OPC Server (with corresponding num. of connections), Panel in this case acts as OPC client. (And in terms of panel only ONE connection is used) Bad solution (but without extra costs): connections are established between your PLCs, so your PLC1 is some kind of a gate between panel and plc2, plc3, plc4, PLC5 is gate for 6,7,8... but this solution is only possible if there is enough free work memory in your PLCs, also if your "gate PLCs" goes down then there will be no communication.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 14106 Rating: (1767)	Hello Madadi A comfort Panel is only made for up to 8 Connections simultaniously: Here a like to the System Limits: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109773506/91274388747 If you have much more PLCs then you have to use a PLC for collecting the Data from other PLCs and connect to the HMI or you use a OPC Server (for Example a Simatic Net OPC Server). Here you can make more connections and use the OPC UA Channel in Comfort Panel for connecting to the OPC Server. Bye Murof
