Connection between Siemens PG and TP177 micro

In ProSave I can use only PPI connection and I must to choose between COM ports. But I want to make connection with my MPI/DP port and I don´t know the COM address of this port. I set PG interface to PPI mode. Thank you, Tibor

But if I had that cable which you wrote, which COM port should I use in Prosave? I want to connect with MPI port. The PG has also one COM port, but it is 25 pin large. :( The PG hasn´t got any another COM port which is 9 pin large. Thank you, Tibor

Wishme Experienced Member Joined: 8/20/2009 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 80 Rating: (5)	Dear Tibor, If u don't have Serial 9-pin Male port on the PG,u need tohave 'PC adapter USB cable (6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0)'. For settings go to control panel of the PG andset the 'PG/PC interface' to MPI and same on the TP177micro from go to 'control panel/transfer' settings, match the baudrate and unique station address. In the Transfer window of 'Prosave/Protool/WinCC Flex'select 'MPI/DP' as transfer/download channel. If u had serial port on the PG, then only u should select the correct COM port. As its price is less then 3$, I think is better to buy it. The other option is using a USB...as mentioned above. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

But as far as I remember, it is part of delivery of Field PG. (So perhaps it is somewhere in the bag) Best regards, Wizard
