Hi,

I want to create a backup from Siemens HMI Panels:

1. OP17 - DB

2. TP27

3. OP77B

4. TD200

I have this software: Tia portal V13, Simatic ProSave, Windows 8 x64, Laptop Asus Respublic of Gamers (without COM port)

I have this hardware: PC Adapter USB A2 (6GK1 571-0BA00-0AA0), ethernet cable.

      How I can make a connection  between computer and panel:

1.  (Hardware) OP17-DB.  I think, I need this cable: 6XV1-440-2KH32-6XV1440-2KH32.  My laptop doesn't have any COM port, but i have PC adpter USB A2. If I bought RS232 cable (6XV1-440-***) and connect one side to panel port RS232/TTL (15pin) and another side to PC adapter USB A2 it works fine?No need change switch DIL?

    (Software) OP17-DB. HMI settings: Press ESC + UP key during booting the OP(i.e. press these two keys and then power the OP)to enter transfer mode. It's suitable with ProSaver software?

2.  (Hardware) TP27. Use different 25 pin cable 6XV1440-2KH32.? Can I connect  this cable to PC adapter USB A2? No need change switch DIL? 

      (Software) 2TP27.  Turn power off to the panel and press the ESC and UP arrow keys at the same time. With these keys pressed, turn the power back on and wait three seconds before releasing these two keys.This will place the panel into Transfer mode. The screen of the HMI should reference that is is “ready for transfer” or show that it is in “trans mode”. Choose 38.4K as a Baud Rate. It's all what i must to know?

3. (Hardware) OP77B. Use USB to USB cable (Host to Host) like this link ? Could you give some alternative link where i could buy this cable ?

     (Software) OP77B. Siemens take this information: Set "Transfer" mode on the HMI device: Start "Transfer" mode manually in the HMI device Loader.  No need to set communication type on HMI (USB or RS232)?

4. (Hardware) TD200. Siemens information: Use PPI Multi master cable 6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0 cable or USB. Can I Use PC adapter USB A2? 

    (Software) TD200. I found information about TD: The HMI data for the TD-200 is stored in the PLC in a datablock, so if you upload the PLC data you will have the TD data. So, it's look like you no need direct connection with TD200, it's true? If it's true, all what i need it's just update
Micro Win V4.0 SP6 to SP8 and upload program from CPU 200.

Hello Manvydas,

seen the software you have (only Tia Portal) I think you not have the original project and that these panels are obsolete , you not going anywhere as long as you do not pay a blunder for spare parts maybe OP77B you will find at a modest price (at least twice) I do not know if you know that with ProSave you can only retransfer the project into another identical panel, you can not change anything in the project (no modification of variable, no migration to new panel).

I would start to find the original projects or get on track and redo them and move on to new HMI devices such as Basic or Comfort panels.
