I need to display the rolling average speed of a machine over a period. I have an AI inputs that is scaled to machine speed. I need to take a sample each 5 secs to show a rolling average.

Is this possible with a Logo 8 or do i need to use a PLC. for the maths functions.

If you have calculated speed and is analog output then you can show it in real time on message text.

But if you use input as digital pulse from an encoder please see sample picture of simulation.

Describe the analog channels in more detail (0(4)-20mA or 0-10V). Are these outputs from the machine or how should the statement AI inputs be understood?
