SandT Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi I am quite new to the forum and have a question thati hope you may be able to help with. we have the following the logo 8 6ED1052-1HB00-0BA8 we have bar code scanner that we need to connect via the ethernet connection that will when scanned different bar codes give a input for each bar code. could someone please explain how we connect the scanner to the ethernet connection and how we create a input i hope to have more information when the barcode scanner is function in correctly after some more experimenting with it. thanks andrew

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, what else have you connected? A LOGO! 8 and the scanner can only exchange data if your scanner support S7- communication via TCP/IP. If you have a PC in the net, then the scanner can communicate to the PC and the PC via OPC-Server (or similar SW) to LOGO! Hope this helps

It's a Simatic protocol over TCP/IP that's needed to have communication with your Logo. Regards, Marcjan

But need to do many developer works. See detail at http://snap7.sourceforge.net/ .
