Hello Everybody

I am working in one wincc project now. We are using WinCC 7.0 + SP3 + Upd1 as the platform and have Windows 7 64bit OS. we all know that if we want to open one popup window we need to use PictureWindow object. But in this way it is very difficult some time, when you want to open more than 5(i mean more than one) popup at a time, then you need to put as much picture window on the page beforehand as you want to open in runtime. Now sometime this is very irritating.

So my question to you good people, that, do we have any other option through codeing (C/VBS) to open the popup (other small screen) without placing a picture window onto the page? Please help me guys. I am sure there must be some way

Dear i.anirbandey,

I think you asked to have multiple popups windows without the need of creating the same amount of picture windows in your start.pdl.
The answer above seems to have for example 9 picture windows in the start screen to have 9 possible popups.
I don't think it's really possible, if I understand your question right.
Having lots of picture windows in your start screen is, imo, very common use. If possible, you can make it easier to design and edit if you put them in different layers for example. Also using smaller picture windows and let them adjust to picture size in runtime can help.

You understood right. My need is to open popup window without using picture window control. There must be some way to do it. Ok !! I don't want to flood my pages with lots of popup window opened, but atleast if there is some way, we can about it. I mean, this is not in the TOP PRIORITY in my project. But it would be a good learning though.

In one of my project where i have more then 50 valve are placed in 1 picture at that time I make one group with "Open Close button and Status display" and placed at 50 times with higher level filter and give visibility property in on each valve click event.

this method you can use instead of picture window
