Hello all, I have a CPU 314C 2DP which i know it has the function of High speed counting and i was trying to measure speed of a rotating shaft using proximity switch connected to the HSC so i made the hardware configuration for frequency measurement and made the connection according to the manual of "SIMATIC S7-300 CPU 31xC Technological Functions" but i had two proplems 1- when using the proximity switch i made the input signal as a pulse and direction and connected the signal bit from one proximity switch to the pulse input and comparison between two proximity to see which one is getting signal first and hence result in a bit if 1 then forward rotation and if 0 negative rotation and connected that bit to the direction bit input in this case the count value is soo accurate but there's no frequency value appear. 2- i tried to use encrimental encoder of 500 Pulse per revolution instead and connected track A to the pulse input and track B to the direction input and in that case the count and frequency appear the count seem so logical with every revolution it count 500 pulse but the frequency show nonsense values up to 18 and 20 Mega Hz so i don't know how to evaluate speed using this function. any help please |
