 hellow wizard,

i am working on programming with fm350-2 with cpu 315 2dp, Now thing is that i want to use all the eight channels as pulse and direction mode,

unfortunatly in the sample program library 'fm_cntli' using FC2_CNT2_CTR they have give UDT1 with just four channel words ie.

CHECKBACK_SIGNALS.USER_STAT_WORD0

-

-to

CHECKBACK_SIGNALS.USER_STAT_WORD3

when i modify UDT1 upto CHECKBACK_SIGNALS.USER_STAT_WORD7 nothing is Working.

please help boss.

And these values are in DB in the range:

Checkback_signals_user_stat_word 0  to 3

can i use 8 no. of encoders seperatly with fm350-2 module

in pulse and direction mode or not.

Yes, you can use 8 channels.

So you can connect 8 encoders (Pulse and direction), see chap. 4 of manual.

dear sir,

things is that i did everything, i have moniterd a hardware address directly right from channel 0 ie. (piw260)  to channel 7 ie. (piw274)

i found that only four channel was showing correct counts,

is that means even if 8 no. of channels has been given, but 

it can support only four encoders at a time.

please wizard i want confirmation by you.

Please have a look at chapter 6.6 of manual.

You need to use Job nr. 100 and 101

When using job nr. 100, you will read channel 0 - 3

using job nr. 101, you will get channel 4 -7

The actual values are in Datablock.

okay sir,

but what about "fm_cntli" standard library they have specified only four words for any of the

four selected channels from the parameters assignments in UDT1,

is there any other library so that i can use upto USER_STAT_WORD7 ie. eight seperate channels

at once.

presently there is only upto USER_STAT_WORD3 ie. four word for any of the four channels...
