s7oiehsx.exe consuming all CPU time

Gerwenr Posts: 18 Rating: (4)	Hello all, On my system is a process s7oiehsx.exerunning at almost 100% CPU time. What does this process do? How can I prevent it that it is running 100% CPU time? Greetings

To do so, press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC keys, in the task manager sort the alphabeticaly by image name in the processes tab, find s7oiehsx.exe in the list, click on it with left mouse button, then press DELETE key and in the dialog press yes button. I don't know the details, but some programs/processes (usualy because of are programmed wrong) tend to not kill themselves properly and instead there is a sort of a ghost process running behind that just keeps allocating more and more virtual/ram memory and eventualy cpu time that can slow everything down and honestly, in case of Siemens software, I wouldn't be surprised if this would unfortunatelybe the case.

I already killed the process but it is a little bit stupid to do that every time when I startup the PC. Any more suggestions?

Ways to do that kinda depend on windows you use, however on microsoft site (faq/support sort of thing) there should be help to do it with any...

Gerwenr Posts: 18 Rating: (4)	I solved the problem. In Windows I used "MSCONFIG" and in the tab "Services" I unchecked the Service "SIMATIC IEPG Help Service". Restarted Windows and the process isnt running anymore. Thank you for the tips!
